O'mally

O’Mally, aka Patrick O’Mally
DOG (memorial)

O'Mally comes from a family of six, all born in Escondido, California. At an early age, he learned how to strand himself on a pool cover, defying the laws of gravity while awaiting rescue by his concerned puppy-sitters. A transcontinental traveler, O'Mally had his first coast-to-coast flight at the age of three months, quietly contemplating his take over of NYC under his fellow traveler's seat.

Referred to as a small dog with a BIG dog personality, O’Mally is often the life of the party. Comfortable in both urban and suburban environments, O'Mally has endeared himself to the rich and famous as well as to the down and out, putting him in good stead with his owners who know examples of both.

Despite his advanced years, he enjoys a good chase--although midway through the effort he seems to forget who or what he was chasing. He is a natural athlete with sure judgment and a strong throwing mouth. In his New York City youth and on an ice-covered portion of Riverside Park, he set the puppy world's record for sliding from 89th Street clear up to 96th Street while chasing a tennis ball, actually passing the tennis ball on his records-setting venture.

O'Mally lives quietly these days in the posh Hamptons, happy with his family and his memories.
