Kris loves Television! As a kid growing up in central Massachusetts,
Kris was subject to the "no television after dinner" dictatorship of
his parents. Being a crafty and mischievous young lad, Kris found ways
to elude his parental rules and spent much of his time "helping" his
neighbors.
While attending the University of Connecticut, Kris sought out many
career paths. Realizing that molecular biology or factoring trinomials
would never satisfy his creative mind, he searched for something
bigger. And then it hit him - while staring at a pair of Birkenstock
sandals. Television- he would make television commercials. That night
he wrote three scripts for the funny little sandals and sent it to
them.
Luckily, he was behind in college credits and was able to enroll in a
Television Production class that taught him the basics and lead him
into a thankless career of production.
After graduating, he worked the coast from Washington, D.C. to Cape Cod
freelancing for anyone who would hire him. After too much restaurant
work and too little production, he set out for a full time job in the
television BIZ.
An exhaustive search and a hundred resumes later landed him a job as a
PA with the New England Patriots. Flying first class to every Patriot
football game, run up and down the sideline sometimes feeling a little
"under the weather". For the next year and a half he learned a lot
about roughing it. Hanging with the big boys can be tough. Final moving
up the ladder from schlepping to editing, designing, producing, and
shooting pieces for the NFL, MLS, ESPN, ABC, FOX, CBS. Nearly 6 years,
a Super bowl ring, and an Emmy later; Kris found himself longing for a
new challenge. This led him to the doorstep of 91 East, bags in hand
and no home for his better half Becky and their cantankerous cat to
live.
Kris married Becky; they rescued a mangy mutt and bought a house on the
North Fork of long Island - not in that order. When he is not editing
or re-engineering 91 East---- Kris can be found playing his guitar,
experimenting in the kitchen, kayaking, or watching his new satellite
TV.
Needless to say, there is no TV rule at Kris’ house and he is allowed
to watch as much as he likes.
