Allison Karnbad
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
When Allison was growing up, her greatest joy in life was listening to
music on her parents Seaburg '67 jukebox with her older sister Leigh.
After seeing her first concert, The Jackson 5, she knew it was more
than just ABCs. That was the start of her love affair with music.
But it wasn't just music that she fancied, art rocked her world.
Allison was voted the "most artistic" student in all of Spring Valley
Junior high. Allison set her sights on a career that would
combine both her love of art and music.
In 1988, Allison got her first job, fresh out of college, working for
the newly launched channel MTV. It was here that Allison first
met Hamptonite Naomi Hogarty, showing her where to hang her coat and
sharing travel stories.
In wasn't long before Allison's talents were recognized and she was
upgraded from desk job in Creative Services to a prestigious position
in VH1 Promos.
Highlights of her music career include, shooting on
rooftops, nightly concerts, overnight edits, naps under the desk
and the infamous MTV Christmas parties - details still remain hazy.
After 11 years at MTV Networks Allison jumped coasts for the bright
lights of Los Angeles. Her first job was shooting an unknown boy band
called the Backstreet Boys on the Santa Monica pier. This lead to
a plethora of pop music jobs, directing first time videos for Hilary
Duffy (aka Lizzy McGuire) AJ and Aly, Aaron Carter and the
Wiggles. Needless to say, Allison was the go to girl for tween
sensation pop stars. She had a style all her own shooting b-roll
with her $300 eBay super 8 camera.
Working at ABC, Fox Family, DirecTV, Disney, and various production
companies, Allison travelled the globe from New Zealand, Hawaii to the
under belly of the Magic Kingdom.
After 9 years in La la land, she was sick of the perfect 70-degree
weather and beautiful people - it was time to get back to her New York
State of Mind. At the same time 91 EAST was looking to bring
in an Executive Producer and Naomi offered Allison the job. And the
rest, as they say, is history.
Allison resides in Westhampton Beach with Gina, her partner of 7 years
and their famous dog Finn.
FINN, aka Finn McCool
Starting out homeless and hungry on the streets of South Central, Finn
was down and out in Los Angeles. A gangsta pup fending for himself at
the tender age of 8 weeks.
FINN soon ended up in the slammer at a Mar Vista pet adoption
center. Looking shabby and sun stained,
street life didn't hide his cool composer, intelligence and
warm personality. It didn't take long for Finn to be sprung from
the dented cages by two hot sugar Mama's. He's been living
the high life ever since, eating gourmet food and lounging on posh
cedar beds.
Often referred to as Houdini, Finn has amazed many two legged fans
by his ability to escape from a double locked crate, a $5000 steel
fence and any house hold door.
He recently relocated traveling 3,000 miles from Los Angeles to the
infamous glammy Hamptons.
His hobbies include playing with his toys, obsessing over the
neighbor's cats, storytelling and long runs on the beach. He
resides in Westhampton Beach with his Gal Pals, Allison and Gina.
One would never guess Finn had such a humble beginning.
